What PHP is

Hospital-level days without the hospital night.

A partial hospitalization program is the most structured outpatient we offer. Five days a week you are here for the full clinical day — groups, 1:1, the body, the mind, the brain. Then you go home, or to Truth House. The evening is the rehearsal: the kitchen, the family, the thought that used to run the night. We hear it in the morning and the plan moves.

You spend the day in the work. Then you sleep in a real bed.

A day in PHP

Four groups. Then 1:1. Then the door.

Each treatment day runs the whole Exist model. Four groups. A session with your therapist. Case management. A doctor when medication is part of the plan. Lunch is in the house, not a cafeteria line.

  1. Morning somatic practice in a Laguna Beach living room, Pacific in the window.

    Body

Yoga, breath, the nervous system that will not stand down. The day starts in the body when the mind can’t.

  2. A quiet conversation in a Laguna Beach sitting room in late afternoon light.

    Mind

The automatic thought, the decision, the story. We change the reaction before we ask you to change the life.

  3. Dusk at a Laguna window, leftover Pacific sky after the clinical day.

    Brain

What sits under the pattern — trauma, personality, and use read as one history. A safe room for it.

  4. A one-on-one session in a Laguna Beach study, canyon light in the window.

    Skills & 1:1

Distress skills, then your own clinician. Three or more 1:1s in the week. A doctor when you want a regimen.

Who holds the week

Every PHP day is her model. Not a 12-step hallway.

The clinical model

What we treat

Treated here. Together.

Most people arrive with more than one of these. PHP holds the overlap — not a diagnosis hallway.

All we treat
  1. Trauma

Safety first, then a timeline. What happened is still in the body.

    • PTSD
    • C-PTSD
    • Self-harm
  2. Personality

Distress skills, then relationships, then identity — not a hallway down the clinic.

    • Borderline
    • Other patterns
  3. Depression

A full day when the bed won. Same chair as trauma and use.

    • Depression
    • Bipolar II
    • Grief
  4. Anxiety

The body first — breath, walking — then the thought that will not stop.

    • GAD
    • Panic
    • OCD
  5. Substance use

The use sits in the same week as the trauma under it. Not a later handoff.

    • Alcohol
    • Prescriptions
    • Stimulants
  6. Dual diagnosis

More than one of these in the same week, in the same room.

    • Trauma + use
    • Mood + pattern

Questions we actually get.

A full clinical day, five days a week, Monday through Friday. Evenings and weekends are at home or at Truth House. PHP is not an overnight hospital stay.

Something we didn’t cover? Call (949) 670-9345 — you talk to the clinic, not a call center.

Come for the day.

Call Exist. We’ll see if PHP is the intensity — or if IOP, 1:1, or a referral is more honest.
