What this page is

Anxiety treatment is a program week.

Anxiety treatment here is PHP or IOP in Laguna Beach, not a weekly hour. We start with the nervous system so the room can stay possible, then the thought that keeps the day small. Panic, generalized worry, and use as relief sit in the same plan. It is not a hospital, a locked unit, or a standalone anxiety clinic.

The body goes first, then the thought.

A week with the body first

How anxiety sits in a PHP or IOP week.

An anxiety IOP or PHP day at Exist runs the whole model. Group for the pattern. 1:1 for the history. Somatic work for the nervous system that will not stand down. Psychiatry when medication is part of it. You go home at night — or to Truth House if you are already in the program and home is far or not the right night.

  1. Hands around a ceramic mug by a dusk window, steam in warm side light.

    Body

Breath, yoga, the skills that make a hard hour survivable. The week starts in the body when the mind cannot.

  2. An open unwritten notebook on a teak table in mauve last light.

    Mind

The automatic thought, the forecast that keeps the day small. We work the reaction before asking you to change the life.

  3. The back of a person in a wool coat at a cliff railing, wind in the jacket, dark Pacific below.

    Brain

What sits under the pattern — trauma, depression, and use read as one history, in a safe room.

  4. Bare feet on a linen yoga mat by an open door, last gold light on the floor.

    Skills

Distress skills, then time with your own clinician. Not a hallway that waits until you are “calm enough” for the rest of the work.

How it shows up

The names in the room. Same week.

This is not a directory of other conditions. Those live on the hub. These are the ways anxiety arrives here — treated together, not after each other.

All we treat
  1. Anxiety

A body that will not stand down. Safety in the room first, then the thought.

    • Worry
    • Avoidance
  2. Panic

The hour that takes the rest of the day. Skills first, then the story under it.

    • Panic
    • Body first
  3. Use as relief

Alcohol, prescriptions, cannabis — treated with the anxiety underneath, in the same week.

    • Dual diagnosis
    • Same week
  4. The body

Somatic work is not an add-on. Breath and movement sit in the same plan as 1:1.

    • Breath
